I became a therapist after 27 years as a high school teacher, and I have spent the last several years working with individuals and couples facing difficult and often life-changing experiences.
My work with betrayal trauma and infidelity has become an important area of my practice.
I understand that when someone walks into therapy after discovering an affair, they aren’t simply dealing with a relationship problem.
They’re often trying to figure out who they are now that the life they thought they knew has changed. They are trying to figure out why the ground under their feet no longer feels stable because their whole world has turned upside down.
